So you bought an extra remote for your car, but you
don't want to pay to get it programmed?
That's good--a Ford dealership would rip
you to pieces with the amounts of money they'd charge to program it!
Here's a few easy steps to follow to program the remote yourself:
1.) Once you have your remote transmitter, go out to your stang and pop the
trunk.
2.) Inside the trunk, pull away the carpet
on the driver's side to find the anti-theft box. This box contains a gray plug,
which contains 2 metal prongs.
3.) Go put your key to the "ON"
position and jump the two prongs together. You can use anything that will hold
an electric current; I used a pair of plyers.
4.) Now all you have to do is press any
button on your remote transmitter. Once you do this, your car will lock and
then unlock. This lets you know the the programming was a success. Enjoy your
new remote!
