Comparing OEM manifolds to Pacesetter shorty headers - Pics inside

I like your educated reasoning! Your numbers make sense. I've built cars for decades, and using some automotive "science", would come up with similar numbers... I have learned that on the 3.8s, DUAL 2 1/4" pipe is ample to almost 280. Bear in mind, the factory, aged cats, are a BIG...

Big question about mods and Smog Tests...

That's an idea.... AND stuff the tube, to keep most of the dilution OUT of my intake! ;) I guess there's no hope of cleaning all that clutter in front of the intake....

Big question about mods and Smog Tests...

I know Emission controls all too well... What I don't know, is computer tuning - beyond taking my X3, and loading a Tune. :P My longtubes have NO provision for an EGR tube... Do I just keep the rest of it intact, and have the tube from the EGR just hang, open and hidden?? I've known one or...

I LIKE THAT! I hope that it's polyurethane... Fiberglass is too brittle, and Duraflex is a real pain to work with. It does look GOOD though! :)

That DID make some difference! The idle is a little deeper, sounds smoother overall. ..... and although it may not have been a HUGE difference in performance, I'll take 2 tenths 0-60 any day!! ;) If you want a little more "fun".... A tuner will give you tire barking shifts, harder...

Big question about mods and Smog Tests...

OK... I can see how that would work. I'm still wondering how 24lb injectors, 73mm MAF, Long tubes and Comp 268H can would work... She WILL NOT run on a stock tune (very well), smoking and choking until I put the custom tune back in! So.... am I SCREWED? Do I have to replace injectors and...

Big question about mods and Smog Tests...

Oh, and I'm in southern Arizona... nowhere near Feenix, but we still do the "plug in" test.... They don't even open the hood! And, they don't look under the car either - unless they sense the unique non-catted smell.

Big question about mods and Smog Tests...

I SHOULD know this, having worked in a Ford Dealer... But it's been 20 years. When we do mods that pretty much WON'T run (or run well), without a Tune... HOW do we do things like bigger injectors/ MAF/cams/P&P heads - AND get it through an IM test?? (Where they just plug in to your OBD port...

Sounds like a success so far!! ;) I'm in Tucson. The headers won't rust - like the gaping holes in cars in the northeast... But with the hot/cold cycles, and the little moisture in the exhaust, they WILL rust! It'll just be more like a surface coating... You COULD paint them with engine...

Here's some examples of the Roush front fascia kit.... It's a little more, $420-450, but is a COMPLETE kit, including all brackets, hardware, and even comes with FOG LIGHTS and the wiring harness to hook it all up!! :) Other "bumper only" kits will be cheaper... Either way, you get it...

We ALL know about opinions..... I gotta give mine here . ;) If you're looking to stand out a little, you might want to try a Roush or Saleen front bumper cover. They look tight as f***, and not very much $$, relatively! They're a direct bolt on, and look like she came with it!! :) You 'may'...
