05 gt short block?

    anyone know if the 99-04 gt short block is being reused in the 05 gt or did ford make some other major changes?

    I checked into it more... The new GT did get the new alum block with some small inmprovements in oiling passages etc...

    So it should be a lot lighter! I wonder how strong the block is. People should start seing 5L versions of these thing if they can handle stroker kits!

    The new alum block is better than the older Explorer block = stronger.
