I still have to put engine and tranny in, upgrade the fuel system, and undercoat the bottom of the car. Oh and make the exhaust from the dump pipe back.

I actually got a sump and an Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump and I am going to convert it to return style fuel system.

I have been busy so I have not had a lot of time to work on it however I have been accumulating some new parts and did a few small things. I undercoated the car last night and started to clean up the engine a little bit before I drop her in the car.

Few shots of the undercoating on the underbody

Got a Stage 2 Clutch 26 spline for the TKO and Aluminum flywheel both cluch and flywheel are for Foxbody 302.

Got the bellhousing backplate mounted to the engine, New pilot bearing installed and flywheel mounted to the crank.

Pulled all the Harnesses, fuel rails, injectors, and valve covers off to clean up the engine a bit and sort of once over everything.

Ran into a snag last night with the starter not fitting on the back plate. I have to cut out where the meatal is etched so that the starter will fit.

And the latest edition to the parts is that I bought a new fuel system from greensteeda

Engine bay turned out nice. I would have liked to have green steedas fuel system but he posted about a week before I started buying all my return parts. What turbo are you running?

The fuel system was an unplanned buy, but I have been on the lookout for rails for quite some time. Nice that it came with everything too.
The turbo is a Precision PT61. I am planning on upgrading the turbo in the future, would ultimately like twin turbo, but for now this will have to do.
Also a side note I got in contact with super six yesterday and they were able to look through their invoices and find the parts list for my engine they built. Unfortunately the crank is still a 3.8 and not the 4.2.

Nothing wrong with a 3.8l. That pt61 turbo is actually a really good match for a built 3.8l. It uses the cast gt35 garrett wheel and will support 500rwhp on pump gas boost. It will break 600 with boost closer to 20.

Yeah there is nothing wrong with the 3.8, but the 4.2 is just what I was told that I had. I did not realize that this turbo can handle that much power, thats awesome to know!

Nice build! Tons of attention to detail.
I'm trying to do it all one time and upgrade minor things later on. My neighbor comes over and is always tells me I should have painted this or that, but at this point its getting colder out already and I can paint everything without heat. I just want to get the bulk of it done sooner so first day it rains and the salt is off the roads I will be out! :)

I'm just glad to see that people are still rocking the highly modded/ turbo'd/ supercharged setups. With every year that goes by, these cars and engines get just a little bit more outdated, and we all get just a little bit more insane for putting the money and time into it that we do. So many people at the car shows and in general, just have the exact same thing that everyone else has.

I've been doing small odds and ends over the past couple weeks.
I got the ABS moved.

Mounted the Pressure plate

I used thread locker and Torqued the bolts to the aluminum flywheel to 20lbs

Mated the engine and transmission together

Then it begins. My friend and I wanted to get the engine in really badly so we ended up getting it in around midnight lastnight. I put the towel over the top of the engine to keep dust off but to mostly not scratch off any paint off the newly painted valve covers.

There is the engine in the car.

Just my .02 on the valve covers, wrinkle paint and spray with the ceramic grey/silver. I painted some of my engine parts red and hate it now. Changing back to black/ grey.

I know what you mean about the wrinkle paint, last time I painted valve covers all the paint flaked off. I will wait till the paint falls off to repaint now.
