I said this in the other thread but I think it was overlooked. In the previous version, clicking on the post number would link to a page with that single post and nothing else. Now when you click it, it brings up the entire thread and navigates to that post. Other forums add a "(permalink)" link next to the post number; the permalink link works as the current post number link does and the post number link works like it used to, linking to a page with just that one post.

It's a better (faster) way of linking someone to a particular post since the whole thread doesn't have to load, just one post.

This is apparently a "feature" of vB4 that was done for some sort of SEO reasons that I don't really understand. Seems like the old way doesn't exist any more.

i think every classified section on all forums should list the persons location on that section mainpage so buyers can look for local stuff. i'm sure i'm not the only one who prefers to only buy stuff locally. sucks missing out on something because you dont feel like clicking on every thread to see who lives in the same state as you. or just make a new rule to put your location in the thread title.. thats what i always do.. ie: fr500 rims for sale, gainesville, FL - $300. thats another thing,, put the price in the title.. or modify the forum script to add a few text boxes when u post in the classified section... like Location of Item__________, and Price of Item___________.. then have it show up under the thread titles or beside the thread title in a smaller text. just goto the vbulletin forum and they'll help u with modifying the script. i use to add all kind of mods when i ran the 2pac.com message board.

    FR500 rims for sale
Location: Gainesville, FL - Price: $300

    Roush rims for sale
Location: Nashville, TN - Price: $500

    or

FR500 rims for sale (Location: Gainesville, FL - Price: $300)

Roush rims for sale (Location: Nashville, TN - Price: $500)

oh, and a darker layout optional version. the white makes my eyes hurt. such a big difference when going to svtp or ls1tech..my eyes feel so much more relaxed over there... lol

Can it be changed so that the "quick reply" window on pms automatically includes the non-quoted version of the pm you are replying to (similar to how "reply with quote" works on the forums). Then if you do the advanced reply, you'll get the whole chain copied over.

can you make it so that with the 'reply with quote' brings you to the advanced reply screen, instead of shoving it all into the little box down here?

Thank you for moving the "unsubscribe" link from right below the last page link. So annoying with a touch phone! LOL

Sorry, I think it's going to stay the way it is. There is always the "reply to thread" button at the top and bottom of every thread if two clicks is too many for you.

I was hoping it was a setting or something I missed because I hate clearing my history because I lose all my saved passwords etc. O well much better now :D

I like the idea of a dark theme. Black background and such. Any possibility?

SVTP is hard on the eyes. This format is nice, but maybe some different colors around borders would be sufficient.

I also think we should be allowed to sell guns, only to in-state members.

Hard on your eyes, maybe. I like pages with black backgrounds. Besides, you will continue to have a choice of themes as you do now.

edit: Mods were quick to answer questions about all the other requests in here, but even though it had been mentioned a few times, mods decide they don't care to answer about this request. What gives? If it "can't" be done, though we know it can, just say so.

Of course it "can" be done. It's a matter of time to devote to the issue at this point - Cliff and I have both been really busy lately with other things.

Right on. That's all I wanted to know. It's just a valid request that was never addressed. Thanks.
