I've noticed a 2-3 shift as well with my MT-82.

    How much is this?

Glen is a road track racer with good experience. I want to track my new pony myself. This tranny is great.

Its not cheap, but the quality is 2nd to none. Contact Modern Driveline for a quote with options. You also have to change to a new drive shaft. They can source that or leave it up to you. The car is finally a joy to drive.

Those are some big changes in gear ratios. Anybody that has this done. What gear you running in the rear? What speed you getting out of first now? Unless you are running a short gear, first has to pull so much less but you would get more out of it.

I am running a 3.73 in the rear now with a Strange Floater rear housing. The tire spin is less and the acceleration is far more efficient.

The current transmission can be amazing with royal purple, Hurst shift kit and a blowfish racing bracket mount and safety loop combo. It mounts the shifter to the transmission rather than the body. Costs a little over 500 and it has zero issues with missed shifts. Very smooth and close ratio at a fraction of the cost.
