    I was looking through some Ford service info I have on a disc, and came across a lot of general information and specifications for 3.8L V6's. Everything from oil pressure to torque specs, valve stem diameter, chamber volume, etc.

    Its a lot of info, should I post it in here?

    what does the measurements on the end mean? Head gasket surface flatness 0.08 mm (0.003 in) in 152.0 mm (6.00 in)

    also, say anything about deck clearance?

    On the end? Like where it has a measurement in mm and then lists the same spec in inches?

    For the head gasket flatness, I think it means for every 6 inches of cylinder deck surface, there can only be a variation of .003 inches.

    I'll look for the 4.2

    yeah i didnt get why it had 6" on the end of it. does it give you the gasket thickness or anything like that?
