4.0L stroker info

    I'll jus go with a supercharger...lol...how much boost will it handle safely? Is the next question...lol

    Depends how you run it, intercooler or not, etc. etc. Safe bet is 12 psi or less.

    It's weird how there's so much more support for the Essex v6 than the cologne v6

    (I don't understand why you think your 4.0 has a different engine than the other 05-10 4.0's.)

    It don't...my mistake but I do believe the 05's have the 3.8L...I think the 4.0L was new to 06'....

    3.8 stopped at the end of 03, the 04 cars had the 3.9 and the 05-10 has the 4.0. After that is the 3.7 from 11+

    No problem, and yeah it was a bit odd but ford was no longer making the 3.8 as they switched to the 3.9 for the freestar van I believe. That said the 3.8 and 3.9 are pretty much identical.

    It's the same 4.0 that's in every V6 from 2005-2010
