I just bought the OTC-7786 rear main seal install tool, and to my suprise the bolt hols do not line up with the crank holes. The inner diameter of the tool is to small to fit over the crank. So I am returing the tool, but need some advise on how you guys have installed the seal.

What is a good way to install the seal with out it leaking?

The best way to install the seal without the risk of damaging it is to drop the oil pan and loosen the rear main cap so you can just pop in the new seal. That's probably not what you wanted to hear, but that's how I would do it.
