I have a LASER RED '98 V6 coupe. I want to paint the middle of the hood and the grill opening a dark metallic gray, most likely with a matte clear coat over it. Possibilities include a blue (Kona perhaps) pinstripe around the gray. Eventually the selected colors will replace the tacky black vinyl racing stripe on the rockers too, tapered to fit the side scoop body line, as well as few other accents, like the molded-in panel at the bottom of the rear bumper cover, The bottom of the spoiler, etc.

I am looking for suggestions for the gray color--I would prefer a Ford color, perhaps Titanium, please use specific color names and the paint code, if you can! Any pictures of the gray with Laser Red would be awesome!!

I may be over thinking this, but I want something that will absolutely look good with Laser Red, and not clash with the pearl or gold metallic hues in the paint.

I have about a week to decide, and have time to order the paint. I'm prepping for a show.

    Thanks in advance!!

Good luck. You might try dark shadow grey.

I'll take a look. Checked out "Magnetic", but it struck me as too "brownish," if you follow me... I liked "Sterling" which had some gold metallic but it was a bit too light.

I like it, now hoping to find one to park my "18 yr. old redhead" next to and evaluate!
