Hello Spdricer There is a lot of good and smart car guys in here. They have helped me out all the time. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it, but you went from a auto to manual. Maybe the pcm is looking for something from the cooling for the auto that not there.

Yes thank you for chiming in that is a great suggestion i will definitely keep that into consideration the o/d off light is blinking constantly so mayb this weekend ill go to the ford stealership and attempt to have the computer reflashed for a manual transmission... i get the feeling that is not gonna be easy...

Most boosted v6 like the auto. I'm a t5 also, so I have no idea about how the pcm works with the change you made. I give very little ideas on here. I'm afraid of giving the wrong information. Not afraid of sounding stupid got over that decades ago.

But i too am at a loss here and am afraid to do something stupid at this point i know im way over my head wen it comes to electronics honestly im praying for a miracle and trying to be patient...

My project will be never-ending. Every time I get one step complete I move to the next, that's what I like about it. When I started this mod six years ago. Wow six years it's been that long. Didn't realize intell I typed it out. But anyways I did not know anything about how all the electronic worked. Still learning but have a better understanding. A lot of that knowledge came from here. I see your goal is to go boosted do you have a psi in mind?

Lol yea seems to be a reoccurring theme with mustang owners that i know
Take for example my coworker angel has a fully built carberated 600 hp all motor fox body with a 350 shot of nitrous lmao he took me home one day from work (he made it street legal again so he can drive it to work lol its so badass) my adrenaline was still pumping i was literally shaking for like 20 minutes in my house after he dropped me off.. any way i think he said like 10 or 15 years hes had it... just over the years built it up ... i plan on being part of this club :thumbup: im honored truely honored to be a part of this club im not sure how i got here im just glad this is where i ended up...

So now i noticed the mph guage is reading double what im driving 20 it sais 40. 40 - 80 60 - 120 then when ever i drive any faster then 60 the car thinks im driving faster then 120 and hits the governor and shuts it down...

Double speedometer readings may be related to the number of socket holes in the transmission vs the number of holes in the tune--maybe a mismatch. The later PCMs use a number of sockets than the 2000 PCMs. But, it is changable in the tune.

Ok bare with me as i am getting my ducks in row....

Issues from engine and transmission swap that am having as of right now..

*Computer is still set up as a automatic causing problems that i am aware of and some that i am not i can imagine..
One thing that is annoying and embarrassing is the overdrive light constantly blinking...
The traction control off switch light is on..
And other problems that may or may not be connected with computer still being in an automatic configuration only one way to really be sure ..is to have it flashed..

Car reads twice the mph... and Temp guage cuts out at 120 for watever reason my plan of attack is to fix the speedometer problem first then focus on the temperature guage problem after that if its still an issue...

Plan of action as of now is to purchase a 2004 pcm flashed to my vin and flashed for manual transmission
(2004 because it has a faster chip and because 6 shooter has a license for the 2004 and has offered to fix the mph problem in the tune thank you 6 shooter...)
Drive to dealership in the stang with the automatic pcm driving the car ..have dealership flash computer to my pats codes and make it compatible with my car drive home with new 2004 manual computer

"Scream (YES FINALLY!) at the top of my lungs wen im alone in the car on the way home to celebrate after lol

...So that should solve o/d light blinking as soon as i plug in...
Then wen i get home from dealership im going to try and datalogg (and recieve and download remote tunes) with the livewire ts alone..
if that isnt succesful i will buy a laptop and dowload livelink and attempt to datalogg and recieve and download tunes through that.. as soon as im able to datalogg i will send the log to 6 shooter..
he can go over my tune fix mph problem and point out anything else his experienced eye will uncover.. then i can go back to getting temperature guage 100 percent..

At this point i usually end the post with then i can start turbo build!
Lol but after saying that at the end of the last like 10 posts lol im just gonna end it with

Nothing got done this weekend to the stang unfourtunately... hopefully this week is the big final week here though lol (feeling dejavooie.. <- - patent pending)

Computer came in friday afternoon ..planning on going to the dealership on monday

Im restraining myself from attempting to tackle anything else on the stang right now because i dont want to dilute my focus from finishing eating this can of worms..

I recall having an epiphany at some point that this was the perfect down time for me to do the little things like appearence and creature comforts because wen the turbo build is over i might not care to do those things anymore so its best i get them out of the way now while the car is still down..

Ill post again sunday night or monday morning..

Aside from all the other wonderful things that im learning and doors that im opening not to mention things ive got done and hurtles goals that i accomplished thanks to 6shooters input but recently phil suggested to change the ect sensor something i never wouldve really looked into because i added the cht i was sure i did something wrong there instead.. but low and behold there it was a corroded old sensor plug broke right off in my hand needless to say it taught me to be very careful with the new one!

Anyways from wat i can tell temp guage is officially rectified now 6 shooter is going to try to send me a manual tune with no imrcs i need because right now im still driving with a tune for a car that has imrcs and an automatic which i have neither and its making the car run like crap.. so well see fingers still crossed! ! Hahaha updates coming soon! Stay tuned! Dont touch that dial! Well be right back after a few brief messages from our sponsors

Here we are at the muffler shop getting all new hangers installed and the air fuel ratio bungs welded cost me almost 200 dollars total! Lol ... for 6 hangers it was 80 then i remembered the bungs he said it would be 25 a pop... some how he came to a total of 160 lol ok ill admit that i still count on my fingers but even i can tell the math was a little off haha! But i need this guy bad later and he does great work i was planning on tipping him anyways... so i payed him without complaint... told him ill be back in a month for the turbo piping but i knew inside thats a long shot lol shoot for the moon youll end up in the stars lol thats wat my kindergarten teacher always said haha!





Heres the mess of wires and strings i used to temporarily hold up the exhaust lol ive seen these guys work i know i could trust them with this part of the build at this point i was so exhausted i couldent see around the fact that someone else could do it.. and better than me too! .. so i said screw it... so i didnt screw it! i tied it and called it a night lol



Ahhh yes and this little guy so small yet so powerful! This little guy was a sharp thorn for a while but he shall cause me lack of sleep no more!! To the trash you go u little heathen!! Lol this is the ect electronic coolant temperature sensor that was replaced lastnight... along with my self esteem lol jk

The ability to change things that even "the mustang specialist" at my local main ford dealership cant do..

. ....absolutely freaking priceless lol

(I bought the x4 because i was too caught up in the moment to realize that i should unmate the livewire ts+ from the computer before i swapped it for my new computer at the dealership rendering it useless now until i see the necessity to do something about it)

Ok ladies and gentlemen,
We are well underway to victory here on the southeast side of the states... if u are still following along on this build thread i comend you. Its taking longer then i imagined lol i think i said i would have the engine swap done in a weekend lol dont quote me but i know its been near 6 months lol nature of the beast i suppose..
Anyway as you can see from above i am now a licensed tuner! Lol didnt really see that one coming 6 months ago lol

Uploaded the tune that 6shooter made for me (the sct technical support guy looked over his tune to be safe and said it was very well done everything is exactly how they would hav done it) at this point that did NOT surprise me lol
Anyway his tune fixed the o,d light and made it run a little better but there is still issues...

Im going to universal studios with my x girlfriend this weekend so maybe no stang action... although i am super motivated right now at the same time so i might replace my fuel line tonight... i will update the progress on this as it unfolds

...the least i should do tonight is datalogg the car and send it out to 6shooter before i leave to orlando friday night so he can take his time over the weekend and use his expertise to decide what to do next..
