My gas gauge is stuck at halfway. I'm not sure if it's the sending unit or not. The fuel pump assembly was replaced so i know the float isn't the cause. Any suggestions to start diagnosing?

Unplug the fuel pump connector at the rear bumper. Its easy to get to. If the gauge goes up. You know its a defective sending unit.
