Hi, I've recently aquired an 07 v6 automatic, and I'd like to have a little more power (and better sound) without costing me an extreme amount. I'm new to this kind of thing, so excuse my inexperience. Does anyone have any suggestions?

For sound check out videos of which dual exhaust kit you like the most. I got ford racing dual exhaust because its not too aggressive/loud but is still throaty cruising around town and love it.

Changing gears to 3.73 made a huge difference in feeling an extra "oomph". I have an 08 auto. I went 3.73 instead of 4.10 cause I have a v2 ho supercharger being installed too. I couldn't afford a tlok or 8.8 rear axle swap but I hear that helps too.

And of course the cheapest/biggest difference feel I had was just getting a cai and tune. Cai didn't seem to do much but a few tunes made a world of a difference. I'm still kinda new to everything as well.

Thank you! That really helps alot. Yeah, being in a reasonable price range is the biggest thing.

I just finished upgrading my 2006 automatic with a 50,000 volt coil (screamin demon) and 10mm wires, next I did the "airraid" cold air intake and a throttle body vortex inducer. finally I put .064 gapped iridium plugs in. If you do all this together, expect 25 hp and hang on!

Haha thanks! I'll be looking into that. I have not heard to the airraid, so I'll be sure to check that out.

Do what I do. Just stomp on the gas pedal; this makes the engine rev faster & louder. VRROOOM, VRROOOM! My dad sure notices whenever I do this! lol!
Check online or magazines; there are lots of different add-ons.

it might be just me but, 25horses from new plugs, coil and wires and intake sounds like a but much, and what is a throttle body vortex inducer? :p

A snake oil type product that has a spiral machined into the inside of the throttle body spacer claiming to induce a tornado like rotation to the intake air to increase fuel atomization and efficiency. But it doesn't actually work.

this is what I thought, I had a buddy with a "tornado " in his intake tube and he tried to tell me his maxima was supercharged, this is when we were like 16-ish, but I always assumed that anything other than the tube itself would increase restriction and actually hurt power lol

both exist, one is an insert in the intake tube and one is a throttle body spacer with spiral cuts in the port. both equally worthless.

no, don't touch anything unless you know exactly what the setting does and how it could go wrong.

this is why i sit on my hands while i'm driving--if i don't touch anything, I can't break anything. ...right?

I was just curious because since i put the spark plugs its running lean. It idles rough and feels like its lacking the power it had. Thought i should maybe run it a little richer to see if it clears up the problem.

fouled a plug during install? Or maybe just a bad plug out of the box? Did you make sure the gaps were correct
