I am getting a new Optima Yellowtop...and I have the choice of getting the same one I have and using the CHROME cover I have, but there are clearance issues and it has dinged the hood just a bit...or I can get a shorter version that will give me clearance, but there is no COVER for this so the yellow would stick out like a sore thumb and I will have red/black enginebay....anyone ever painted their battery? If so what did you use?

I've seen it done. It looks pretty good too. It looked like they used normal automotive acrilic paint.

I would never paint anything other than an Optima though. The acid will eat paint.

Ive used krylon fusion on a few plastic pieces in my engine bay, and they have held up really well (no flaking due to the heat or anything).

Sweet..just need to be able to order it. I may do the battery black bottom with red top in gloss...what do you guys think?

Besides covering the terminals...is there anything else I have to look out for?

I wish someone had pictures
