My sister informed me today that someone has been going into her apartment when her and her husband are at work. They have come hom several times and stuff is not where it previously was. Today they came home and the TV was on yet they were positiive they shut it off. Their electric bill went up 100 dollars in the last period and they are never home....... and their little dog suddenly cowers until she sees who it is that actually came home.

what would be the best thing to do.

Im gonna lend her my webcam and point it at a door but there is 2 doors to her apartment. Any ideas on how to catch who it is or any other ideas im missing beside a video cam?.

thats freaky, id say try the camera, maybe not even by teh door jsut in a central area where a person would definintly be. id guess its either a homeless person or a kid. If it s akid proly jus tconfront them/parents otherwise id def alert the cops, and try and figure out how he is getting in.

How are they getting in? are they opening the window, opening the door? do they have a key?

call the damn cops or have a neighbor watch out all day. or give a neighbor permission to go inside the apartment if they hear someone inside

i dont think the neighbor would be willing to get that involved. unless the neighbor is a big bad mutha, the neighbor could get hurt and thats no good.

Go home early one day with a couple of friends, park the cars on a different block Sneak up to the house and have people enter through the front and back doors as well as stay outside incase the person hops through a window.
Sounds like the person knows your sisters schedule, your sister might want to invest in an alarm system as well as some new locks.

Thats some creepy ****, if someones sneaking into her house theres the potential that it could become a violent situation if the person breaking in decides to take it to another level. I would nip it in the butt as soon as possible and send a messege to the intruder that he has good reason to avoid her home.

Here is the best solution ever.

Do like the do in the movies Im guessing you will need 4 shotguns. anyways rig one up at each door and one at each window and make it to where when the guy opens the door or window the shotguns will blast them.

Thats a good idea except the "let your sister stay home", it would be more interesting to go to her house in the middle of the night have her and her husband go about there schedule and then just wait out of sight, quietly untill the person is in the apartment.

Well im going home for a few days so im gonna try and sneak into their house and just lay very low like nobody is home. Im gonna set up a webcam to a website to record the back door and on the days i cant be there i think shes gonna buy another video camera to run for the day.

They havent found anything missing yet but its very strange that the dog suddenly cowers when they come home when its usually just a spaz. Also the person obviously turned on the TV and has been using their stuff as their electric bill doubled. This might get interesting...
