Hey everybody, I'm new here on the forum but here's my question.

I have a 96 Laser Red Coupe going in to get fresh paint tomorrow. When I get it back I'd like to paint the Calipers, I'm not sure if the standard bright red Caliper paint would clash with the Laser Red or if I should go with black, or a Laser Red color on the calipers. I have 17in 98 gt rims on the car now.

I'm open to any and all suggestions and also pictures would be cool too. Thanks.

Personally I wouldn't go with Red Calipers on a red car. You want a color that will pop, not a color that will fade in or clash.

I would go with a polished silver look.

Red should be fine. Just don't paint the brackets, that looks trashy IMO.

Did you just use like a standard red caliper paint? or did you try to match the laser red?

Regular G2 and duplicolor caliper paints, it's the typical bright red color

If you do it red, paint the brackets black. It will cause the caliper to stand out.

Was this picture taken right after painting these? Because this is clean as hell!!!! I painted mine black for a few reasons. My car is literly ALL black. I decided that cleaning them would be annoying as much as my car gets washed, and they were the stock breaks so no need to stand out. When I upgrade to a big break kit they will be a nice shiny bright color!!

That's actually pretty good. Not what i meant though. I meant if it's painted the same color it usually looks careless and as if they're trying to pass the brakes off as bigger than they really are.

Nice. Question: Did you make a pony stencil yourself? Looks nice. Did you use standard caliper paint? Some kind of high temp clearcoat (If there is such a thing)?
