I'm curious as to what people's thoughts are on it.

History's Revolutionary, Modern Time Terrorist.

If he would've lost the revolution against Cuba's Dictatorship...Would he have this notoriety/celebrity status. I think not.

Here in Canada we had our own Revolutionary Movement in the early 70's. The members of these factions had similar beliefs that Guevara shared. They were viewed as terrorist and extremist at that timeframe as well as now.

I'd buy it. :p

But yeah, the whole fad surrounding Che Guevara pissed me off. I'm assuming that around three quarters of the people who wore his portrait don't even know who is or what he did. It's a great portrait though, design wise. Very recognizable, and very easy to duplicate.

Hero? No wonder you're ****ed up. Your dad has no brains. You're calling a guy that killed his own fighters for wanting democracy a hero. He promoted, and even enjoyed, violence. In what world is this right? The only thing right was us and Bolivia killing the bastard.

What about this story:
A 14-year-old boy, badly beat up, was brought to the prison. When those in his cell asked why he was there, he explained that he had tried to protect his father, who was being taken to the firing squad.

Che's guards soon returned and led the boy from the cell. "Then we spotted him, strutting around the blood-drenched execution yard with his hands on his waist and barking orders - Che Guevara himself," Mr. San Martin recalled.
"'Kneel down!' Che barked at the boy.
"'Assassins!' we screamed from our window.
"'I said: KNEEL DOWN!' Che barked again.
"The boy stared Che resolutely in the face. 'If you're going to kill me,' he yelled, 'you'll have to do it while I'm standing! Men die standing!'
"Then we saw Che unholstering his pistol. He put the barrel to the back of the boy's neck and blasted. The shot almost decapitated the young boy."
Sounds like real hero material to me.

Communism does not work! Look at the commie states around the globe. There is no middle class. Just the haves and the have nots.

What really makes me sick is the way liberals like to glorify this guy. They have this mentality that America does everything wrong and everybody else in the world is right. Why not glorify the Islamo-Facists we are fighting right now? Why not say we had 9/11 coming and we got what we deserved?

Where is your patriotism? People support this commie in a nation where you can support whomever you want. Yet you support a guy that would take those rights away from you. :wtf: This doesn't make sense to me.

Che supporting American? The lowest form of American, second only to traitors!

I always assumed it was something of a rib or a joke to put a communists face on a commercialized shirt especially when it has a caption that reads, “I have no idea who this is.”

I'm not arguing, I'm just wondering about the source of your story there. Are there any references to confirm that it is true? Or does that story belong in the same group as the Beethoven abortion one?

You realize, of course, that our system doesn't work either and our middle class is shrinking pretty quickly.

I think capitalism works in the right context, but whatever bullshit is going on right now in our country doesn't.

My father has always been a supporter of him, and from what i've read from various articles, he truly did seem like a hero.

I never understood why people wore his face on their tshirts.. he was really not a good guy. You need to review the whole story about him.

Oh it's working. Which is why we are the richest country in the world. The reason it wouldn't work is because we have socialists infiltrating our system. They took over the house and senate this year. We say we are capitalist, but we have programs like welfare and the like. Either way our middle class is thriving, thanks in part to Bush's tax cuts.

Capitalism works for those who want to work. You work hard, do a good job, make the right decisions and you will be successfull. It's as easy as that. It's even easier with all the programs that have been set up. You are an idiot if you don't go to college (or some trade school). You are an idiot if you don't work hard in college/trade school and get a degree. And you are lazy if you don't then go out and use that degree. America is great, if you want it, you can have it. You just have to be willing to work for it. Not all countries give their citizens the power to be the best!

I know it's hard to believe that Americans could ever do anything wrong...

I never said we were guiltless. But to say that killing thousands of innocent civi's was justified is just sick.

I imagine this is what an infomercial for the US would sound like on some cable channel in Uzbekistan at 3:00 in the morning.

BTW, we're not the richest country in the world. Per capita, we barely break the top ten. Not to mention the gigantic and ever-widening gap between classes. Sure, capitalism is working - if you've already got money.

Richest Countries in the world (GDP per capita)
1 Liechtenstein
2 Luxembourg
3 Switzerland
4 Norway
5 Denmark
6 Japan
7 Singapore
8 US
9 Iceland
10 Austria

But you just go ahead and keep believing. ;)

We did have 9/11 coming

**** with other peoples countries and they **** back, its not a hard concept to understand

If that's the standard we are gonna use... then our wars in the middle east are now justified. You **** with us, we are going to **** you back!

But please, tell me how we deserved this?

We ****ed with other peoples countries, they ****ed with ours (BTW I think Afghanistan was fully deserved)

This is not a hard concept

You don't punch people in the face and not expect them to punch back.

Iran, Afghanistan, Saudia Arabia, Israel/PLO, Iraq, these are all countries we have messed with in the past.

Did those 1,000s deserve to die in the WTC/Pentagon/Planes? Of course not. But to say that 9/11 was a unwarranted attack is just silly
