Checking Auto trany fluid?

    This may be something to look into. If anyone else tries this, let me know how well it works out.

    There should still be a drain plug, car idling, warm, you can remove it to
    check the condition of the fluid. There is a fill level plastic tube inside those
    threads, and some will leak out, which is fine. This tube can be removed to
    drain all the fluid, then remove the pan, and change the filter, clean the pan.
    Once the pan is back on, the plastic tube goes back into the pan, then you
    need a tube fill tool to pump fluid back up into the pan while the engine is
    idling. Then you remove the fill tube, let any fluid drain back out then put
    the plug back in. Lots of them are doing this now.. I made my own pump
    with a 1-gallon bug sprayer from Walmart. This is how VW does their
    slush-box fluid changes too.

    If that info is wrong, it is what I read regarding my 2008, how the trans is
    serviced.
