Clamp midpipe

    Has anyone used or have had any experience with a clamp on midpipe
    They are obviously cheaper just would like some input!

    you're referring to something like this? Ford Racing Cut and Clamp Mustang X-Pipe M-5251-MV6A (11-14 V6) - Free Shipping

    clamped connections like to leak but those clamps are much better than say the u-clamps you might find at an exhaust shop (it's basically just a stud bent into a u shape to fit around the pipe with a plate bolted across the open end to fasten it). So it would probably work for you.

    Yes exactly
    My current cat back is being held by clamps and i can vouch about leaks
    Once i figure out which midpipe i want, i plan to have them welded together.

    Does anyone know the sound difference compared to an off road x pipe?

    Surf youtube for some exhaust videos similar to your intended setup for an idea, there's generally a video for every setup.
