I know our clutches are not the best. In my 08 I often have trouble shifting into first and reverse. Any known fixes for this or way to stop this from happening besides replacing the clutch?

I'm not familiar with 05+, but on my 99 it has an automatic cable tensioner built into the clutch pedal - put your foot under it and pull up on the pedal to pick up the cable slack. Doesn't seem like a clutch issue in itself. Got a lot of miles on it?

And check to see if your transmission has enough fluid in it. I'm assuming its a T5; fill plug and drain plug will be on passenger side of its main case. Uses an ATF instead of oil.

This issue is probably a symptom of not fully disengaging the clutch.

I recommend you flush and thoroughly bleed your clutch master and slave cylinders
