This is the first year we're all bus. Used to drop my boy off in grade school bc it was on my way into work. The car line would be 50 cars in two lanes off drop off. There were like 800 kids in just a K-5 school. Now in middle school he has to leave at 6:15 so no way I can take him in. Bus ftw.

Mine rides the bus now as well, I've got to be at work by 6am. There really isn't a way other than the bus.

i could go in that early, but just don't like too. it was a work hours thing for me too before the bus. was perfect timing to leave the house at 8am, drop him off, and go to work. they stagger schools around here. buses for middle are 6:30, elem 7:30, and hike skoo 8:30.

I hate going in that early, I work 4 - 10s so I get a 3 day weekend every week unless I work Friday.

My wife complains about the morons in the car lines too. She says it is simple common sense and there is a knucklehead or two every day that just prolongs the situation even more.

Same. Fall/winter time is trash. It gets dark here at like 430.

Didn't read much but I wonder if Jiff will stay on this time or if they will go to spring forward.

Give me more sun. I'm all for it. It has to go to the governor, and then it actually has to go to Congress to amend some ****.

I wish Indiana was on Central time. It was proposed this year, but went nowhere. I'd prefer it because then it would never be dark on my drive to work and it would never be light when I decide I want to go to bed at 9:30 or 10:00 in the middle of the summer. Plus, it would make all the Blackhawks games an hour earlier for me.

Indiana is weird. The central part of the state goes all the way west to Illinois border but north and south Indiana only go halfway west. According to the map I just looked at anyway.

I also thought Wandler was Central but the west part of ND is Mountain.

Yeah, the South West corner is mountain Time and rest of the state is Central and it's really annoying. I'd rather be on Central time.

Indiana used to have its own time zone, part time Central and part time Eastern, but it was hurting Indiana business because people were always asking what time it was in Indiana. We started observing DST in 2006. When I first joined 3.8 (and many other websites where times are of importance), I had to select "Indiana time" as my timezone.

Well we're about to "spring forward" giving us more sun, so I'd imagine we'd just stick with that one

I feel like it would be weird for FL to be on a different time than the rest of the Eastern Time Zone. They need to just do away with the **** altogether everywhere.
