I did this set by myself, probably too much for an 8 or 4 year old. My daughter put a Lego Friends set together and my son a little atv set together while I worked on this. They don't have the patience for a 6 hour build.

Getting to play with legos again is definitely in the top 5 perks of having a kid.

I have 2 large tubes from when I was a kid I need to get from my moms. I have a bad ass train kit, fire station, police, a lot of the space shuttle kits, the big fort they used to have and tons of small kits.

On that note, my brother just found out they’re having a boy. It will be the first grandson for my parents. They already have 6 granddaughters.

    Our last name carries on!

I’ve got two. You said playing with Legos is a perk of having a kid. I haven’t experienced that yet. Just LOL Surprise and princesses.

You said a lot of things I don’t understand. I have a daughter and her favorite toy has been legos. And as much as I had hoped for that I know way contributed to this happening. We were at this place called tot town and she couldn’t stay away from this table. So she got some after and now that’s all she plays with.

    damn. nice.

you buy that knex thing that was cheap. not something you would keep assembled, but they take a while to build.

So where do you put all that stuff after you put it together? lol
For the past few years, every Xmas we have bought my sisters-in-law’s step kid one of those gazillion-piece Star Wars ships. He and his dad put it together and they love it.

We had a lego table that we put all the stuff on and then the neighborhood kids came over and started messing with it and took all the stuff partway apart. Then the dog decided it liked legos, so they are all in bins in varying stages of the process.
