What's the best exhaust set up for a 2014 v6 mustang.
1) copy somebody's recipe that you like --> youtube
2) be bold and try something new
I want something that don't sound to loud cus I was going to buy the bbk long tube bbk o/r x pipe and the borla atak but everyone says it sounds way to loud and that it sounds some what like a ricer I don't want that
You could get that but put high flow cats on it.
Check this video out. This is Borla Touring which is the suppose to be their quiet exhaust with long tubes.
I feel like this isn't bad but we could do a little more noiser
So you want it louder than that?
Keep in mind cameras have auto dampened in the microphones so it doesn't blow it out. And a ton of noise is lost in the recording
The super loud exhaust is terribly frustrating after 20 minutes of highway cruising. Something to keep in mind when you're thinking "MOAR!"
I second what Phil said, I use to want straight pipes but after riding in another v6 that had them I decided against it, it's just too much, and its.not.even a good loud lol
I want to put the rtr axle back exhaust I'm looking for v6 with a clip
I installed Roush axlebacks and took them off 20 min later. Way too loud. Caused the windows to buzz ie harmonic vibration.
Yeah those are loud. Have heard them on the Roush RS and did not like them.
Warning too you considering exhausts, American Muscle doesn't accept returns if the parts are opened and used for any reason. They refer you to the maker. You're stuck with $469 doorstop. You'll take a huge hit selling them.
You should be able to sell them without taking too much of a loss
The best clips I've found (YouTube of course, so....) has been the flowmaster force II's, everything else sounded like a ricer to me, especially the borla's, but that's my opinion. Actually I also really liked the sounds of the stocks with the bbk long tube headers and off road x pipe, not too loud and not ricer either (again that's via video clip) I personally will be trying that route first, I'll gain way more power over just axle backs and for not much more money. Just my two cents
I agree the clips of the flowmasters sound good but I have never heard them in person. I did not mind the borla's when I had them. After the supercharger they sounded even better. I would recommend the cervinis kit to anyone. They have a aggressive note but not to loud.
Have BBK shorties and stock cats and resonators
I think headers add a deeper more throaty tone to any muffler and a V6 will never quite sound like a V8. A tune makes a world of difference too, especially a lope tune, really gives them that old school idle. Definitely hearing different systems in person the best way to decide. Everyone likes different sounds, in the end the only one who has to be happy is you, lol.
Read through your thread about that green machine. Sweet looking car! Definitely a head turner!
