I've heard rumor of a special 5.0L twin turbo coyote code named "venom" that could be the next Mach 1.

They've been designing a twin turbo v8 with a displacement anywhere from 5.0 to 5.8, codenamed "voodoo". Probably based off the ecoboost platform. I've not heard of a "venom".

You're correct! I temporarily lost my mind, it is voodoo! Eh, both start with V's. I am happy about the carry over of the 5.0, will make it easier to develop existing supercharger/turbo combinations to the new car.

Yeah, I assume they're saving the larger displacements for the svt and the like. Imaging a fully built, cammed, twin turbo, 5.8 coyote variant. And if reports are correct, about 400lbs lighter than the 14.

The trinity is 5.8, but I believe it's not related to the coyote, just built on the same line. However I think they've been making a 5.8 coyote with twin turbos for Ford racing, now to be used in the next generation mustang from the factory. Until an official release it's all speculation, either way I'm excited.
