Fuel trim info

    IMG_0504.PNG IMG_0503.PNG need a little guidance to understand fuel trim. The pics above are at standstill idle. Not throwing any codes. I believe I have a nasty vacuum leak or running lean/rich which is causing crappy idle and lag when I rev. Any help would be appreciated thanks

    Sorry bud, not too familiar with tuning. I do know the upper oxygen sensors are heated and help determine fuel trim, and the lower oxygen sensors are for emissions reporting, checking quality of the catalyst, etc. I have an '03 Escape that has one bank at 1.7% and the other at 49%, it is detonating and losing all power. I am studying this topic this week!

    long term has to do with adaptive learning and short trim is off the o2's. Perfect fuel trim is 0.0, 4.7 means it is adding 4.7% fuel according to the maf curve, if it had been .96 it would be taking out 4% fuel meaning the engine is running to rich. Your bank to bank fuel trims look good. I would try to clean the maf and if that doesn't clear it up try a smoke test. youtube diy smoke testers.
