what is it making man?
480 ish. N/A. Putting a wet kit on very soon. Going to hit it with 150-200 shot.
i have my time listed on the 1/8 mile times thread but not sure of the numbers. fastest was 7.75 on 12 lbs, i think i could hit 7.50s to 7.60s now if i actually took it to the track. have a little bit larger crank pulley. like jp said though, it will be turbo'd eventually, just waiting for more suspension parts to begin everything and turbo cam.
there are a few v6's in the tens, although I don't think they are on this site.
A lot of the v6 guys seem to go to 1/8th mile tracks
Excited to see what you make monday jp.
Blue notch, You should swap a ford 3.8 in your car man. Everybody and their brother races a sbf in their fox. I've got less than 4k in this new motor and it will support 700rwhp. Anything more than that you need a real crank imo. I've got a build thread on here if you want to see the pics. I'm only shooting for 6.50's in the 1/8th with the 62mm turbo, will probablly swap to a s372 in the future and
As for the turbo kit, the stock header can be flipped but you have to do some work on the pass side to clear the motor mounts.
While the 3.8 based v6 seems to be a pretty sturdy platform, telling someone to swap a v6 in their currently v8 powered car is pretty back asswards IMO.
that's bass ackwards^ lol
the truth comes out! lol
i have 1800 in a 500rwhp stock bottom end motor. why spend another 2200 for 200 hp when i can do it for less then a grand with a much better torque curve?
sounds nasty. where are you from? do you have any video?
I've seen just about everything you can do with a fox. When you show up at the strip and everybody else has the smae parts on their car is kind of lame(with all do respect blue notch). When someone shows up at the strip with a fox powered by a 2.3t, that car will get far more attention than any sbf fox because like I said, everything has been done with that platform. I'm going to leave it at that for now young blood lol.
Blue, I'm in Radford, VA. I do have some video but not of this setup. jtsstang on youtube. The car did run a best of 7.32 @ 96mph on 13lbs. The converter I had in it at the time was a bit too loose.
What is your combo and what does it run? Better hang a bucket off the oil pan to catch your parts when you put the squeeze to that stock block lol.
I know a guy with a 2.3T capri....he gets a LOT of coverage with that car. Runs high 11s.
just went to mir friday. here is a video.
that zr1 is seriously fast. good vid
Yea the zr1 was sick. My best was [email protected] 1.50 sixty.
Nice passes. That charger really impressed me. Takes a lot of power to put a 4800lb car trap 137mph.
Charger was gutted inside completely. With a built 6.1. Procharged. With a 200 shot. Still was very impressive.
where are you at in the vid?
the blue notch shows up a couple times once at around 6 minutes and then i saw him again at 16:55
Not impressive with a 200 shot lol. We have a srt8 car local that runs 6.80's with a centri and nitrous.
