Got concrete poured back yesterday! The plumbers had to change a couple things after the first inspection but oh well. We passed the rough electrical inspection as well.

We're getting our handicap ramp poured Monday and drywall guys should start the end of next week.

    I'm running out of money

The plumbers should wrap up running all the water risers by Friday afternoon so we're gonna hold off on drywall until next Tuesday after the plumbing gets inspected. Ideally have all drywall and insulation done by the end of next week. Fingers crossed.

As usual things went slower than expected... plumbers had to change a few things but it's all good to go and they're pressure testing the lines. Getting inspections wrapped up so we should be able to start drywall next Monday. Vinyl flooring is going in the 11th if all goes well so we can get the pod in there a day or two after that. Slowly coming together

Hvac is roughed in and the new unit is all hooked up and mounted on the side of the building. We had to build a little room for the air handlers because they can no longer be above the insulation.

Drop in ceiling will go in after drywall.

Drywall was at least dropped off today. They have to finish another job first so they may get started tomorrow, but my guess is they'll start Wednesday morning.

Apparently my contractor had to fight the city a bit... obviously it's one building with two tenets, but there is only one electrical service and we're doing the construction under one permit. The thing is I'm trying to open my doors before we finish out the building permit. Fortunately they will be able to give me a temporary C.O. which is ****ing sweet.

It's all so frustrating. In my head I feel like I should be able to float in two weeks, but I know that's not gonna happen. It will be so worth it in the end though.

Guessing that doesn't include the mudding and sanding.

Yeah it'll take the pros a week to do all the mudding and finishing properly.

I put carpet in my new bedroom, and it wasn't terrible. Granted it's not perfect either.

They're grinding and staining the floors this week. I'm so giddy to see how it turns out. Gonna be sexy

Floors are all sealed up and I love em. They'll finish the drywall this week and I'm getting a tile guy to mud the shower pans this week as well. May get the vinyl floor put in the float room this coming Friday but it may have to wait til the week after.

    It's almost there!

Painting this week. Already went through 5 gal of drywall primer/sealer so picked up another 5 gal. So many walls...

My tile guy should get in there tomorrow to seal the shower walls and mud the pans so they slope correctly. It's been a pain putting roll in showers into an existing slab.

Been very frustrating the past couple of days. Flooring was supposed to go in Friday but they didn't show up until Saturday evening. Then I'm told since the building wasn't air conditioned yet that the vinyl could possibly shrink and cause problems when it does get conditioned.

The thing is, I had the damn floor guy out a week prior to make sure everything would be fine and that we wouldn't have any setbacks but he failed to mention that the AC needed to be on... (we could have had it on in time if we knew about it)

Now the damn install crew is out of town til Saturday, so they won't install til Sunday. I should have had the pod installed today but now it has to wait another week.

God damn I need a float.

Not sure why he didn't include that info. I would think that is vital.

That's what I thought. Like he was out here and saw it wasn't hooked up. He said "sorry for assuming"...
