Ok, I get a lot of IM's asking how to use brushes in Photoshop. So, I decide to make a "How-To" for some of you guys.
Step 1. Getting the brushes.
The first thing you need to do is get you some brushes. You can get you a nice set of brushes by searching google for "Photoshop Brushes". Another place you can get them is www. deviantart.com . Once you get there, click on "Categories". A drop down menu will appear and you will need to click on "Resources" near the bottom. After you clicked on "Resources", click on "Application Resources". Then, click on "Photoshop Brushes" Once you have one downloaded, it's smart to make a folder that's easy to find just for the photoshop brushes you will be getting. Once you have them saved, open up photoshop.
Step 2. Loading up the brushes.
The next step is to load up the brushes you just downloaded.
In photoshop, click on the icon that brings up the normal round brush.
Next, click on down arrow on the top bar that brings down the menu with all the other stock brushes.
With that menu up, click on the arrow on the top right corner.
That will bring up a menu. On that menu, click on "Load Brushes" about half way down. From there, a window will pop up. In that window find the folder where you saved the brushes you got earlier. Once you have found the brushes, just open them up. They will appear at the bottom of the list of brushes under the stock brush set.
Step 3. Using the Brushes.
Now that you have brushes up in photoshop, your creativity is the only thing that can limit you.
I hope this helped you guys out there wanting to know how it was done.
