Instructional on How to Dye your Interior

Yea but I'm afriad of it a few years down the road. Plus I'm not sure how it will turn out when I use my NZXT interior shine stuff.

Well mine has been complete for over 2 months now and I haven't seen any signs what so ever of chipping, flaking, sun damage, or anything else you can imagine might happen. It has seriously been flawless and I haven't even scraped it once so no need for touchups so far either.

As far as using NZXT or similiar Armor All type dashboard protectants, you don't need them anymore because the dye protects your dashboard. Besides that, if you use the SEM Landau Black color like I did, then your dash looks semi-shiny already so it ALWAYS looks like you just put a coat of dashboard protectant on, yet it remains dry and not greasy.

np bro
btw keeping original seats, or going with new ones?
www.arizenracingsports.com take a look at these seats you can probably order some 2 tones to match your interior.

I checked out those seats and they would look fantastic in my stang, not so sure about the cost though which is why I've stayed away from seats so far. I still owe $2,000 for my 18" Saleens and the body work done for my Roush kit. Once that gets paid off I'll consider it though a rear seat delete would definately come first, and I decided I want to get that 35% tint taken out and replaced with 15% (I like my privacy :D ).

do you think the dying that he did would look good in a white mustang, but instead of doing it black, doing it in white?

I dont think white on white would look good. I've got mine dyed (started it like 6 months ago and finally finished) black with some white accents. And I love it

But I want the cookie.
ZeroMorph you have convinced me, the first thing I am going to do to my car when I get back is dye the interior. But, I have one question first. What two-tone colors would look best for my car? I'm def gonna do the landau black, but was wondering if I should keep the second color the light charcoal (stock on my car) or go a darker shade of grey? If darker, what color from that website you posted earlier would look good with it. My exterior color is laser red metallic.

BTW your interior looks awsome:thumbup:

Thanks for the compliment. Landau Black looks awesome and I assume you plan on dying the top half like I did right? Either way the Landau will look fantastic with the light charcoal color. In my opinion I would keep the light charcoal/Landau combination cause it will not only look great, but will be much easier to dye. Too much dark on dark in my opinion would be overwhelming, the contrast of shades will look really good. Good look and post pics when your done!!

i have been wanting to paint my pieces around the switches, shifter, and door things around the switches, but noticed you had those professionally done. is it because you wanted the paint like your exterior, or does that SEM die not work on those plastic pieces? if not what do you recommend? i am looking at doing something to accent my grey interior, but not be to bold and stang out. maybe something like yours that as some shine, but not to much. opinions welcome.

i was wondering if you dont like the color how easily can it be removed

If you don't like the color of the vinyl dye, just use generic autozone break cleaner and some paper towels to take it off, it literally melts off very easily. Use this method to take care of overspray of the dye as well, and fix dying mistakes. With dye, nothing is permanent so there's really no risk involved. Hope that helps! :)

No problem, I'm glad you bought some and tried it out, it surely IS amazing stuff. I can't believe how much better my crappy tan interior looks now, I really like the tan/black combo myself. Post pics when you get some I'd like to see how it turned out!
