I have my engine completely torn apart, I am in the buying-then-installing-parts phase. I currently do not have the money to buy a turbo setup, but I'd like to in the future after the car is running. I have two questions:
1.) Since the engine is pulled apart down to the block, what parts should I order to be able to handle a single turbo setup later so that I do not have to reorder or rebuild the engine later to handle a single turbo.
2.) My goal is to improve efficiency so as to create horsepower while improving gas mileage -- does a turbo charger improve fuel economy if set up correctly?

A have a 2002 3.8 split port, ported/polished heads and lower, Windstar upper intake, ceramic coated long tube headers (these will go on until I build the proper turbo exhaust -- I am excited about building one myself) a Maximum Motorsports K member is going under the engine later to open up some room, I also have an aluminum driveshaft, and I will be making a return-style fuel rail as this is all going into a 1998 3.8 Mustang.
