So i bought an "SVT Focus Pump" from ebay last week, and went to put it in today...

The first thing i noticed is the plug doesn't fit from my 2000 v6 into the other electronic pump. At first I thought no big deal, until I did some reading to find out that the SVT pump should have a green top...

My pump, however, has a black top. Here are some of the part numbers:

Part number on sticker, on top of the entire basket: 2m5u-9h307-AB -- from what i've read, this crosses to a new part number, which is also known as "PFS-162".

Part number stamped on actual pump: xs2u-9350-aa
Part number molded into bottom of basket: f7lu-9b238-aa

.... Any insight on if I just threw my money out the window? This is for an m112 build...

The focus pump you want is the green top. That is a 255lph pump. The black top one you have will max out at 215lph. Here are the specs-

If you have the black top fuel pump, these are the specs:

    Part # XS2U-9350-AA

    Specs are as follows:
    Max Power Consumption @ 30Lph/270kPa = 50W
    Max Current Draw = 10.1A
    Nominal (NEW) = 8.49A
    Nominal Performance = 154Lph
    Min New = 125Lph
    General Test Condition = 12.0V/350kPA

This one maxes out at 215lph.

I had to cut off the connector from the old pump and solder it on

You probably had a Gt pump if you had to cut and solder, Svt focus pumps use the same connector.

I'm trying to find something real quick for a good price, and don't wanna go brand new. I read about the lincoln aviator fuel pumps being okay to use too? any input? or would it need to be a special model of aviator?

The Aviator pumps are amazing! They are advertised as 310lph but are more around 270lph. Either way, its about the same price (if not less) than the focus pump and flows more fuel. They have the green top as well and its the same connector you would use on the Mustang. Very simple swap, I have pics of how to swap out a fuel pump if you are interested.
