I hate to say it but I agree with other members that rules are not being followed by the moderators/admins.

Just a quick look at the rules sections show this:

This thread seemingly broke no direct site rules and was locked in an improper manner.

    http://www.v6mustang.com/threads/250816/

Before the edit "Sigh" was the only reason listed.

*This thread is public for a reason. I've noticed all moderators doing this. Sometimes BT threads are locked for no apparent reason. Though their threads have no real purpose, they don't break off topic rules. They are not trolling attempts. They are no worse than the regional or daily chat threads.

The moderator of the above thread was notified as the rules further state should be done.

Can't wait to see what they come up with for this one. Good observation Taylor...

LOL. The closing post was changed.

Should a poll be opened to see if "BT needs to find their own board to govern" is a valid reason for locking a thread.

thanks. My thread didnt even go off topic nearly as far as many other threads that have been 'cleaned up' or been warned/ told to get put back on track.

I understand getting told to "get back on track" or threads being cleaned up.

Going by the rules that's be exercising a basic warning for post whoring in a form. But there's no rules for groups/group threads. The SoCal chat thread would be considered a group thread that goes OT in a lot of directions.

In all fairness there should be an "Official BT Thread" that could be a public chat thread.

Otherwise all the Daily Threads and SoCal chat threads need to be changed to group chat on their own personal forums that people must join and off the boards just as the BTers are.

The problem is questioning authority, especially when JESTERgot and LEONbag are the ones it is directed too.

The rules are obvious, as was the reason that thread was locked. Moderation staffing is not up for public discussion nor vote.

    The end.

So we cannot discuss leaders? Be it good or bad thoughts, it's all merely opinion.

I love you Rico but that stuff just gets more thread locks. I'm not trying to pick a fight. I guess I just don't see it as fair. If I wanted to make a group and post threads to chat about whatever in I SHOULD be able to.

I guess I don't see it as obvious. There were no flames, posts were on the topic at hand, the thread was in the OT section, and the topic was about a group that board features has allowed.

EDIT: I guess it wasn't ABOUT that group. But made by the group.
Well I see how thats not allowed. But this isn't a union...just because we vote we all hate a mod/admin doesn't mean they are gone. Deal with it.

"Re-evaluating" forum leadership is not within the scope of "BT" nor any other group of site members. Framing an honest discussion by starting it with a silly logo and bemoaning the plight of the oppressed and innocent "BT" club is not a good way to be taken seriously.

Hitler rose to power, killed some Jews and then, supposedly, offed himself. Some people in power just let it go to their head and their's nothing you can do to stop them, other than invading their country and hoping they kill themselves.

    :badidea: we are doomed.

BT was never brought up by any members of "BT". Rather, it was non-'BT' members that brought it up (like usual) but somehow I see we are taking the blame again.

We know this. Serious complaints are dealt with in privacy.

It wasn't about getting mods replaced, we know it's not a democracy. It's more voicing opinion however it was presented.

Did you even read the thread in question? You know, the one that started off with a giant "BT" logo before even a single word was typed?

    That one?

So explain why a "silly logo" gets certain member singled out by certain moderators? That's the true issue at hand. Maybe you need to reign in your staff...

I hope that is in no way a blame on me. I just happen to see more BT threads locked without true reasoning be it because of BTer's themselves or just other members who start things.

If in fact we can have threads about "who would win in a fight" like we did a while back then a simple evaluation of our staff should be okay too. Even if it doesn't directly have an effect on who moderates.
