What's up everybody. So I am new both to this site, and to forums in general. I've only owned trucks in the past and never really did much to them, so I never looked into forums. But, I bought this 2002 Mustang V6 5-Speed from a friend a few months back and decided that it would be wise to find a place I could seek help and answers from people who have and work on similar vehicles. I have not done any modifications yet. Right now I am stripping it and repairing it.

So far I have dropped the transmission, removed everything in the bell housing, and stripped the interior almost completely.

    Welcome!

Is the work you've commenced strictly for repairs? What was, is wrong?

As of right now, yes. Just repairs. The throw out bearing had gone out. So I've got it pulled off and am in the proccess of putting everything back together. Just having trouble finding a new pivot stuf for the clutch fork.

All the interior stipping was just so I could clean it out thoroughly, and replace the carpet. The old one had holes in it and was pretty worn.

Yeah, i dont know why, but the last owner didnt seem to care about the car at all. Still havent worked the interior, but the exterior looks better now, since i changed the hood. I got new fenders to put on, and she's almost road worth once more.

I can't stand when people abuse these!!!
Most idiots feel: "Well, its JUST a V6!" :(

FORTUNATELY for us, the SN-95/New Edge are cheap & plentiful, like the Foxes were through the 1990's!!
    Parts are less too!!

I'm shopping for 'Stang #15 right now...
I could AFFORD a S-197 - but between higher buy cost, higher mod prices, and the fact that EVERY time you even SNEEZE on one, she's gonna NEED a tune!!

I'm going to KEEP the extra $$$, and MAKE the 2001-04 that I WANT! :)

She'll be a fun DD and weekend autocrosser. Nothing crazy. Just a bunch of torque, a good deal of power. Very drivable, and fair MPG from 3.55 gears and a 5-Speed!! ;)

I'd LOVE to see some progress pics of yours! :D
Might help me find a direction for my new Baby!!

I just made a garage so you could see. :) She is slowly coming along. Got her put back together and almost road worthy. Still having issues with the clutch grinding. Frustrating to say the least. But, I'm getting there.

Coolness - I'll be checking/spying in every now and then to see what you've done. I have a 2002 True Blue used as a daily so I am always curious of what others are doing to theirs.

Nice. :) Unfortunately, I have to put the project on hold for a few months, but come August, I should be getting back into it.
