Where ever he poops the first time - declare that his official newspaper poop spot - he should be used to that spot since he went there the first time - so whenever he needs to shiat he will run to the newspaper spot - it worked for my golden retriever!!!

you have to be stern with them. When they do it, yell at em and tell them no and kinda push their face twoards it. We did thet with our Lab and after 3 1/2 years she hasn't done it since.

EMT Guy (dunno your first name)--What we did for our dog (and what some pro guy told us to do) was when they start using the bathroom inside, immediately pick them up and toss them out the door. It really works.

Walk him like 7 times a day, and punish him everytime he does it in the house... That's what I did, and it took my dog like a week to catch on completely... Now when he has to go, he just comes up to me, and stares me down with the saddest look on his face

That was just my camera. He has brown eyes. I take him out like every 1 1/2 hours to go. So far no more accidents in the house. We just got 3 inches of snow, so it was cool watching him run around in it for the first time. BTW: anyone that has had a puppy before: mine wimpers all the time is this a normal raction to leaving his mom and going to a new home??

when he poops on the floor stick his nose near the poo and then smack him with something (don't hurt him but make sure he feels it). and whenever he poops outside give him a treat.

keep it up till hes house broken

whining is pretty normal, but make sure that you don't pick him up every time he whines or he'll never stop. as far as house breaking i bought a large kenel and kept him in that, dogs don;t like to make a mess of there house just yours, and i would take him outside on a regular basis and praise the hell out of him when he did his buisness. that taught him really quick.

    this is him now:D

I took that pic 7 1/2 years ago. I was just playing around. Trying to get a rise outta the owner of the puppy. I didn't really shoot the puppy. I've only been really cruel to cats & kittens...well except for that one time.............

Awww...so cute ^_^ German Shepherds are my favorite breed of dog. My dog's half shepherd.

As far as potty training, we did crate training with my dog and it worked quite well, of course then you have to go out and buy a crate, but I think it's worth for you to look into.

Here's some more info on it.
