The rest of the links are fine since they're all not businesses.... although the sneaky stuff at the bottom needs to go. Nice try. ;)

So are we going to screw members out of the best deal out of respect for site sponsors? Just wondering. Because if company X has the product I need in a group purchase for 10.00 but someone else has them all the time for 10.00 I would hope someone would tell me about it and save me some hassle. Business is business, supply and demand... if someone has the supply to meet my demand at a better price I have a right to know. JMO

right, and you can have that right, by browsing the sites.

when you need towels, do you call K-mart and ask them how much thier towels are, then look for a towels ad, then take that ad to walmart and ask them if they have the same towels for that price? or do you expect employees at walmart to call you and say.. wait, we have those towels.

It's called RESEARCHING that product. I always go to as many sites as possible to find product X for less.

If someone makes for sale thread, why should other people keep chimming in letting others know "go here to get it cheaper" its not fair. If its to expensive, then dont buy it. We all know all the mustang sites around here, mustangtunning, vmp, stangsuspension etc.... look before you buy

I doubt you ever just buy something the first time you see it, you research, like everyone else

Yes, but we live in a world where people want to be handed everything on a silver platter (Not referencing you personally Kim, just in general ;) ).

But in concern to the topic of the thread, I'm currently looking and talking with site owners that I can host up my car garage, pics, and specs so I can get a working sig picture up again.

Edit* I see Kim's post was deleted :(

You misunderstood my point... I was saying that if someone has what I need at a better price given the scenario erick made up with the group purchase at $X and the guy selling them everyday for $X , then by ericks theory everyone has to keep thier mouth shut and not inform others of a better price from another supplier. Im not saying I expect everyone to tell me prices... Im saying if I want to inform someone that is purchasing something that I know where he/she can get the SAME thing for a better price, then I should be able to. You guys missed my point.

Our job here is to keep things on a level playing field, so the sponsors get business but dont get greedy. and the members stay within rules.

well if erick sells badges for 100.00 and some other site sells them for 10.00 and someone makes a post saying , check out these badges for cheap i dont see a problem. but if the post then goes into " oh erick is a rip off artist, and this and that, then it becomes a problem. we dont need sponsor bashing here.

and it looks like the rules going to be. if you want to support a site sponsor in your sig you can, but NON PAYING SPONSORS are a NO.

As for the limit, it is being discussed. But keep in mind i dont find if fair if advertisers are going out and telling people to advertise in thier sigs and cutting them deals, or this "sponsorship" stuff.

Back when i was into stereos i was going to have my car sponsored by Phoenix gold, that meant i had to attend like 50 car shows a year and had to have all phoenix gold in my car, the stereo was free but if i missed one show or got a ticket, or changed anything in my car i would have to give it all back. thats a sponsorship. Someone giving me 5.00 off a part and saying put a link in your sig is not sponsorship, its badgering.

look at kim's sig. right now as it stands its perfect. It has a link to her site, and on that site there are ads. even though they are non sponsors, they are done correctly.

Look at ericks sig. He also is correct, he is sponsoring his own product with links to his site. which is legal.

if the rest of the people followed in this manner we wouldnt have an issue.

I'll wait for the FINAL word on the issue when you or Sean give it.

But on a side note, not all sponsorships require to give the parts back.

Any user can link to sponsor sites in their own sig. Non-sponsor site links in signatures are off-limits though. That's the easiest way I can say it.
