Hello fellas and ladies. Bought my stang 2 weeks ago she is silver deluxe with shaker 500, apperance package (spoiler-door decals). Great car fast as hell specially for a 6 defintly in the boxing ring with the 95 Gt I had 3 years ago. I have installed a Flowmaster 50 series and found a K&N that works since K&N tech told me it would be atleast 6 months before they had one on the shelf. Anyway just wanted to say HI.

BTW, for other new 05 V6 owners, do you remember what the K/N filter # was, you used?

Have yet to go to the track. The motorplex is closed during this time of year. The motorplex is a 1/4 mile track about 25 miles south east of Dallas and I live 2 miles from it :) . So I think when they open street night back up I'll be out there. I am guessing high 14's low 15's and a 6.8 to 7.0 sec 0 mph to 60 mph. Part # for K&N is 33-2033 it is a little tight since the dimesions are 10x10. Stock box is 10x9.25 but the lid will shut and seal properly! Takes a little massaging.

    Welcome.

How much did the car end up costing and was it above, right at, or below MSRP?

Congrats on being our first offical 05 V6 owner, welcome, if you're like us, you're going to be spending alot of time here! . Also, if you're in to modding, I'd hurry up and look into a sponser, since the 05's are so new, I doubt many sponsers at all have had offers yet, it'd be a fantastic opportunity to get some serious parts for either free or a hell of a discount! Regardless welcome, and congrats on the stang!

Glad to be here! Thanks for the great welcome! I am definitly into modding. I want gears, posi, sway bar, strut brace, and most of All I want boost! I have already contacted vortech, kenne belle, whipple, powerdyne, and procharger and all have said there are no plans to make a charger for the new stangs due to low sales volumes on the 3.8! :rage: Thats what one of them said anyway. Kenne and Whipple have no intention in fooling with the v6 only v8! I wanted a roots type more than anything but looks like the turbo looking charger is all i'll get but it will be a while before that happens. Question how long after the 3.8's came out did vortech take to do a kit? Oh and as far as the spelling goes on the bullit i wanted it different nobody can say wannabe if it's spelled different right! Anyone in the DFW area. And for any one that wants to know why I didn't get a GT well I can't get insurance on it. Plus the GT isn't a project it's already fast. I love working on cars I spent a year rebuilding a typhoon and had to get rid of her because it broke me.

I'd love to do the whole sponser thing but don't you have to go to all the shows they book you for and do what they say and go where they say? I can't do that in my line of work. Plus I am sure they don't want someone that drives 30+k miles per year.

I think that vortech released their 3.8 kit in '98. I'm not too sure about that date. I know i read the MM&FF test of the kit in a mid '98 issue.
