yes, pete knows all that is v6 mustang, all bow down to the oracle pete

As far as gears, if you drive 30k+ miles a year, I'd say you def. are going to want 3.73s if most of that is highway driving. 4.10s and you will probably kill the gas milage. T-lock is compulsory of course.

    Oh yea, welcome.

Edit: I don't know who said v6 stangs don't sell in enough volume to support a product, but the v6 stang is the model that keeps the entire mustang line-up financially viable based on sales.

Let me know what ya got Pete. I think I have decided on 3.73's. I don't think i am going new either since new isn't guaranteed according to Dallas Mustang. I have a friend that can help with the install he went to WYOTech. He has the lash-o-meters and stuff. So pretty soon i'll be looking for a used 7.5 posi with 3.73's. I am pretty sure the 05 V6 has 28 spline as well. I know the GT has 31. As far as metting up in Dallas that is duable some time. Can't do it every week but maybe soon. Talking about volume sales i was refering to the blowers sales not the car sales. As far as 95 mustangs go all i know is the auto gt's had 2.73 and sucked ass! Thats why i think a stock 95 GT like the one I had would not run away from the new pony in the stable. According to some of the other forums the 96-98 Gt's were about as bad. I posted a thread in the sponsers forum about an SCT and he asked me to e-mail him. He does have an sct for the 05 v6 and says it improves the throttle response since it is drive by wire, improve shifting which would be hard to believe and increase hp and trq 15 with 93 octane. I am waiting to find out but the sct is like a hypertech isn't it? If not then i guess its a chip were you order it and its program is based on mods?

Nice, so that would put a Manual 99-04 pretty much even with a 05 Auto.

    no it wouldnt
    05 auto was low 15
99-04 manuals with a GOOOD driver MAY get a 15.5

most people with a 99+ manual are in the high 15's low 16's :uhh:

Actually, with just take-offs and heavy bullitt wheels (so stock performance, if not worse b/c of the wheels) my car ran [email protected] with a crappy 2.331 60ft. If my 60ft was 2.1 like his, I'd have the same or better ET and a very similar trap...

Sure, MOST people don't run low 15's in stock 99+ manuals, but most people don't do 2.1 60ft's like this guy did in his '05 either. Stock, my car and the '05 had the same trap and given a launch like his, I'd have the same or better ET.

Actually i05' bogged out. So if it could get itself off the line I would think it might be in the 2.0 60ft range pretty easy.

Welcome....get rid of those 215-65R16's ASAP. Disgusting how much black is on the new V6s.

Well i like the tires and rims but when it comes time for new tires i am gonna swap in some bullitt rims and tires. Unless someone wants to trade :) . I have always loved the torqu thrust rims I'll take em in silver or grey. I'll prolly put KDW's on as my next set of tires too I like the agressive look and they have good traction all around or comp TA's. I forgot to mention our small town of 20,000 has five 05's and only one is a GT. 2 red (1 is GT), mine, the other red one is a Dallas Police officer, a blue v6 which is driven by a girl, and a dark grey v6 driven by a girl.

I don't think we ever fully uncovered the stock gear ratio mystery. Bottom line: Most 94-98's = 2.73 stock, 99-04 = 3.27 stock

Remember, GSRguy has a 98 5 speed GT and he has 3.27's

Don't forget the mach 1's have 3.55 gears!

i vote 3.73's because of the 5 speed auto. Remember guys he has a 5 speed not a 4 speed auto. 3.73's = teh wen when driving hwy. Too much rev for the 4.10's
