i checked out your mods... pretty neat. no rear end work though? seems like such a waste without a differential and a set of gears...

    Welcome to the site!

It's great to see a female auto technician finally.

You have no idea how rare it is in my area.

    Sad really.

LAYZ Im glad you said that...I am trying to pick one up this weekend...a complete 8.8 assembly a guy is selling local out of a totaled 01 GT with 49k on it. This guy never seems to reply to e amils though!! GRRR. I know he still has it. He only wants 275.00 for it and I told him I want it. Now the guy wont e mail me back! If he does...i will have a new rear end :D and I plan on putting 4:10's in it.

    Thanks for caring LOL
BTW I would already have this mod and many more if I wasn't also a mother of 2! Kinda hard to save money ya know?

oh, thats awesome that you're getting your rear end. i think the rear end in my car was the first thing that i ever did and definately the best thing i've ever done... it was so awesome. now my next purchase is going to be a sct livewire probably, so i can set the optimal shift points and really abuse them, cuz my car is also automatic. good luck with the installation.

installing the rearend isn't that bad (fortunately i had a lift to use), gald to hear you are getting it though.

you can put 3.73s in an auto, but most people go with 4.10s

yeah, ive seen a couple autos that were 3.73 running impressive times at the track (they were 302's though, not sixers).

i wouldnt mind some 4.55s myself though. ill take ALL the gearing i can get. especially after i build this new motor. =D

If they're new you could sell them on the board and then buy 4:10s with the money.

Well if I had an auto I'd go 4:10s or go home. And I don't drive mine much so I don't give a crap about mileage.
I guess I see your point on a dd. :)

Well let's see.. yours started with 2:73's? I can't remember now. So anyway, even a 3:73 has to feel really good. I really shouldn't talk about autos anyway. I just remember people telling me that on a near stock car the 4:10s have the same feel as the 3:73s on a manual and I've been really happy with my 3:73s. (This is where Kade comes in and bitch slaps me. )
