Hey guys. Just happened across your site so I thought I should check it out. Kind of nice to find a site dedicated to V6 Mustangs again. The Mustang Collective started out that way but virtually all the founding member moved on to V8s and the site evolved with them. It is still a great site but not so much V6 oriented anymore.

Anyway I am a big fan of the S197 4.0SOHC V6 and have been developing parts and upgrades almost since I purchased mine new in 2005. I came out with a kit to take care of the T5 transmission issue to upgrade to a GT TR3650 or GT500 TR6060 6-Speed and have been a co-developer of X-Charger upgrades. I also have a lot of knowledge about the suspension and other components of the S197 V6 and have made some pretty cool one of a kind parts for my Mustang. I use my Mustang for fun on the street, autocross and open track days on the road course. I don't drag race it. I have a 1972 Rally Nova for that instead. It is 1000lbs lighter and much better suited for drag racing.

    Anyway glad to be here.

    Thanks guys.

I built the motor myself but got the stage 2+ heads from SSM. I did match port the X-Charger distribution manifold to the heads however. Hasn't been on a dyno but with 14lbs of boost and 9.7:1 CR it has to be around 400RWHP or better. With the MP1900 TVS at 14lbs of boost it sure pulls a lot harder than my MP90 did at 10lbs of boost.

I'd like to know what all you've done to your 4.0 motor internal wise.
