They decided to roast because it was the most common method for people to do, but they acknowledge during the video that smoking and frying were superior. But yes, they broke it down.

My fried one will be the seasoning/brine they did. The smoked one will be more basic for the non-traditional haters.

I actually will only eat cranberry sauce if it’s the canned sauce. Love that stuff.

Do it. That's the pro tier move for consistency/even cooking.

A decent ham is far better than an excellent turkey

wtf is wrong with you? we eat ham quite a bit. that shits pre cooked so every few months just throw one in the oven and eat leftovers for a week.

this just confirmed you've never had a decent turkey.

Agreed. I dislike turkey. I usually grill a steak for Thanksgiving.

It's just always bland tasting, even when seasoned. Chicken is way better.

sounds like a typical grandmas turkey. bless her heart but my 80yo mother in law thinks her turkey is glorious. it's awful and has been for 50 years

i brine mine, baste it a ton, butter/seasoning under the skin, etc. a good turkey is hard to beat. people just throw them in the oven for too long and do nothing. thats why they get a bad rep. the meat itself is freakin glorious.

Just doesn't taste good. Chicken is mediocre. Fried chicken is glorious.
