Anybody here familiar with Star Citizen? My husband is totally nerding out over it and wants me to play with him when it comes out. I would need to upgrade my computer for sure. But it looks like it would get boring to me.

More like they got 36 or 48, but 34 hitting the shelves.

I worked retail in high school and we always did that crap. Everyone in my family got a furby one year and tickle elmo another year. Those toys were hot as hell.

When I worked at walmart in high school and college they wouldn't let us pull that crap with toys but in electronics we could do it with video games and dvds.

These things are pretty strict supposedly. He would have no reason to lie to me about the quantity. He's not allowed to hold one for himself even. Not sure how they track that but he did say he will get some families of 5 or so come in just to buy them up (1 per customer), just to resell all of them.

i suspect they are pretty strict nowadays. i worked for KB and it was a pretty small store. plus nothing was electronic back then so alot harder to keep track of.

The Skyrim VR bundle is getting a pretty big discount starting this Sunday until Monday of the next week. I'm planning to buy the bundle on Sunday, unless Skyrim VR gets absolutely torched by reviewers. Just getting to experience Skyrim in VR alone is worth the price of admission to me, but there is also RE7.

I did end up getting the Skyrim VR bundle over the weekend. I played to the first dragon fight. First thing worth mentioning is that the graphics are bad. I knew it wouldn't look quite as good as the remastered version, but the amount of detail lost at a distance surprised me. That being said, the experience is still awesome. It is something that you have to see to understand, but VR adds a sense of scale to the game that you never knew was there before. Looking for a dragon in the sky at night and being up close to it is an experience. In short, it is great the way it is now, but the exciting thing is imagining what the game could look like in a few years, when VR headsets have 4k or 5k resolution.

I'm going to pick up a PS4 at Costco on Friday. On sale for $189, comes with 2 controllers. Seems like the best Black Friday deal for a PS4 out there.

It's not for me. I don't play video games anymore aside from the occasional Super Mario World on SNES or Mario Kart on 64.
