lol I know the value of a factory service manual
just never heard it called FSM.

yes there are Ford service cd and dvd .iso's floating around. they are great.

    file names
    "93_94C11.iso"
    "1994 Ford Car CD.iso" aka "94CAR_06.iso"
    "1995 Ford Car CD.iso" aka "95CAR11.iso"
    "1996 Ford Car CD.iso" aka "96CAR17.iso"
    "1997 Ford Car CD.iso" aka "97CAR22.iso"
    "1998 Ford Car CD.iso" aka "87CAR14.iso"

"96_99.iso" (dvd covering 96-99 cars and trucks. not all parts of this are functional so the CD's are better)

to get the EVTM for the car CD's you need the corresponding year of truck CD.
    "1993 1994 Ford Truck CD.iso"
    "95TRK14.iso"
    "96TRK17.iso"
    "98TRK19.iso"

there used to be a site called www.fordcds.com where you could download these. and then for a while www.forddvds.com worked.

there are files for 99+ too but you asked for 94-98.

94-95 is basically the same. there were many significant changes going into 96.
    96-97 are basically the same
    98 is an orphan year.

yeah I know those links don't work that's what my statement "used to" means. those files are however available on various file sharing things on the internet like torrent edonkey etc. you have to do some work to locate them. This is the "cost" of an otherwise free resource.

an iso file is a way to distribute an image of a CD http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_image most CD burning software will allow you to burn those images to a cd

ISO files are also used with Daemon Tools. You can mount a CD/DVD image with this program without actually putting it on a CD/DVD. Basically it reads the ISO and "tricks" your system into recognizing the ISO file as a physical CD/DVD drive on your computer.

    http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/announcements.php

Works great, but the only real reason it exists is to let people who download games and software through torrenting use their ill-gotten goods without any of the hassle of putting it on a CD, etc. The program itself is not illegal, however.

The only downside is you have to keep the ISO file on your computer for it to work properly. I haven't tested an ISO file on a CD/DVD but I'd imagine it would probably work, but then again if you have the software to stick an ISO file on a CD, you have the software to have the image installed properly so it runs like a typical CD.
