I am going to be putting 18s back on my car soon. I have to decide what size tires I am putting on the rear, the fronts are 275/35s. The backs are going to be drag radials.

    Options:
    305/30
    305/35
    315/30
    335/30

I am kinda leaning away from the 335's because of bulge. The 305 and 315s look hella nice, but the 305/35 gives just a bit more sidewall and looks mean.

    295/35 :uhh:

335 unless you can find wider, go as wide as you can.

335 would be sweet, but since every car is different you may need to tweak the exhaust to make them fit. i run 315 nitto's and since they sit kinda wide they almost rub the exhaust. but seeing as yours are 18x10 as opposed to 17x10.5 you may not have this problem.

side note: its amusing that everyone wants him to go 335 but most people on this board don't run wider than a 295, many only a 275-85. but i hope thats only because anything wider was a lot more expensive and not because they think narrow rears look good.

at the same time, 335's would be a little over kill for a v6 mustang that dosent even break 200whp.

I have side exhaust, so clearance isn't an issue. I run 315/35/17s now and the new wheels are 18x10.5.

As you say about price on tires, the 335s run about 300+per tire depending on brand. :uhh:

But, I do break 200, just a little over 300, so I have no fear of spinning the tires.

I am still leaning on the 315s, but I haven't decided yet.

That was aimed towards Tedness saying most people on this board dont run wider then a 295.

    I would go 315's

I can't see how you can afford anything more than a 295 tire

18" tires are an arm and a leg.

I have 295/35's and everything is flush, but I would say the 305/35's would be a nice tire size.

315's get my vote, they have just that little bit of extra buldge, with out being excessive like the 335's.

I'd go 305/35. Just a personal preference tho cause I like some meat on the rear wheels but not when its super bulgy like the 335's.
