I'm really familiar with the 4.6 and 5.4 engines that Ford made I was wondering what if the 4.0 similar in reliability and in longevity, we have a 04 Ford Expedition with a 5-4 it is currently at 230000 miles with no major problems at all and has plenty of more life I was wondering if I can expect that if I purchase a Mustang the 4.0 drivetrain

Lmfaoooo. I can only speak for myself (203000miles) from my 01 5 speed but don't get your hopes to high for longevity without having to put in some work. Thankfully nothing to major on mine. Transmission, fuel pump injectors general tune up gasket and seal replacements and i haven't ragged on it too much. But expect to put in a lot of upkeep workif you want it to last.
