Shift point tune

    Im getting my 410 gears installed in my 2006 v6 automatic . Was just wondering how to go about changing the shift points now that im going to be able to shift at higher rpms. Any advice? I have a diablosport handheld predator tuner

    You should probably establish a relationship with a tuner, such as Ortiz.

    Just swapping to a 4.10 ratio does not affect your engine's capacity for high rpm. That is largely dictated by the limits of the rotating assembly and valve train. The change in gear ratio does change how the engine is loaded, and the tune will need to account for that, not just correct your speedometer.

    Thanks! Yea i chose the ratio change on my tuner and it adjusted the parameters.
