Is it just me or does the site seem to be very slow the last day or so?

Yep. I click on my bookmark and it could be 20-30 seconds before the site loads.

Seems to be alright today though.

We've been running into RAM issues lately (ie not enough of it). Sometimes it's fine, sometimes the system starts paging to disk and the performance goes in the crapper.

Hehe, and then stuff happens like I try to fix it and grind the box to a halt.

Ok, thanks for bearing with me.

I repaired/optimized all the DB tables (which probably should have been done like 4 years ago), and changed a bunch of Apache resource settings that were way too high. I'm hoping this will result in more consistent board performance.

Please give it a whirl and report back.

As if on cue, after doing this all day, I just received a "courtesy email" from the hosting provider telling me our current server is EOL and needs a hardware upgrade.

    Guess it's unanimous.

Better now but fix the bolded links so they unbold when you click back after viewing a thread. This was working up until about a week ago.
