Due to the confusion of where to post certain issues and to make this section a little more easier to understand its purpose, ive created some basic guidelines to use.

These guidelines are effective 4/7/2004 so please follow them from this date on.

Use this forum to point out:

    • bugs in the messageboard
      incorrect links
      server issues or lag times
      problems receiving email or notifications
      any messageboard general questions
Website itself ( non forum related) questions
Ideas for new pages to add to the site itself
      Ideas for new forums
Comments, compliments, or complaints on board or site features
Talking about adding multimedia clips or pictures, etc
      Timeslips and registry q&a
Possible rules or valid concerns for the future of the messageboard

    Please DO NOT
    • -discuss member status
-post polls about members you want to see banned/unbanned
-complain about other members or moderators
      -Name change requests
-New threads for sig tests ( we already have a few offical threads that are current, use those. and for sigs in general, you dont need to post to bring it up, it will stick itself to every past post so go look there 1st.)
-Polls on who you want to see as a moderator
      -General Chit Chat
-complain about why threads are locked

To resolve any questions on the to do/dont list above:

Any problems you encounter with any member should be brought up via PM to your forum leaders, If there is a problem with you and the forum leader ( aka Moderator) then contact myself or Sean.
Moderator positons are hand picked by Sean and I and the moderators vote on it.
Name Change requests are not a very common thing here for a reason, if you are to request a name change it is to be via PM to myself or sean and there should be some sort of reason why you want to change it. Like if your name is **Stangman2000** and you trade in and get a 2001 stang we can change it to **Stangman2001** If everyone changes thier names to odd or completely different names then it will lead to board confusion. The only other viable option is to change to your own name. Use the members list to see if the name is taken first.

Also some other issues, Dont post about why a thread was locked, moderators are required to leave a message stating why they are locking a thread to leave a closing line. Do not bring up locked threads here please.

Any other questions you have please refer to the rules section

    http://www.3.8mustang.com/rules.shtml

or feel free to PM me.

    Thanks,
    -JZ

Seems fair enough to me. This is exactly the kind of moderating I like to see. Clear explanations for the masses, plus critical thinking for those few who would have otherwise understood. Bravo.

You only answer PMs once a month? This would explain why, I too, have not recieved a response.

    Thanks

There is a new rules about name changes.

Name change requests are not going to be proceesed anymore. If you wish to start a new account you may. Please PM a moderator so we can disable the old account so you do not get a ban for trolling or creating multiple user names.

I have a general problem, not sure if its the site or my computers. And I'm not sure if this is the right place to post.

when I am on my laptop the site will not remember my password, and will boot me off after I have been on the site for more than about an hour. When I try to log back on it won't let me, well it does sort of it thanks me for logging on and tries to redirect me to the wiki and then I see that it has logged me out again.

I can log on with my desk top at home or at work and I don't have this issue.

can you help me with this?
