In your opinion which is the better setup? The stock lower intake to the F150 lower intake?

I recommend starting with the stock lower and the f-150 upper. The butterfly valves, called IMRCs, will help a lot down low in the RPM range.

What tuners do people use with the these modified sixers? Trying to find a good one to get with gears, before installing anything.

Going back to the stone age with this thread.

Anyone tried or know if it is possible to swap the brains? Have a 94, but can I use one from a 99+?

You may also have to do many harnesses and components as well. You would be better off and keep cost down by having it tuned.

I dont know if this is the proper spot for a question but here it gos. I got a 96 3.8 mustang with a bad lower engine and bought a 2004 -2005 engine with 79,000 miles. Was cheaper than the original and 50 plus more horse. I used the original wire harness original computer. Had to make wiring wires longer on some engine components. Used the 96 cam sensor and oil pump shaft assembly. Timed the cam sensor 26 degrees past top dead center used a blue orange wire for 12v reference signal for cam sensing. Got it running but had to use the 96 balancer to make it run. My problem is how do I get this to work with the assessory belt?

measure the 3 bolts on the harmonic balancer and see if the same measurements for the 96 and the 2004 if so you can cut the harmonic balancer and put a 1999-2004 under drive pulley on.
