Read before you speak. I said suspension mod for suspension mod, a V6 will take a GT around turns. That means, If I buy 2 Eibach prokits with swaybars, springs, and dampers, new control arms, and the identical tires for both cars, the V6 will take turns faster. The lower weight means less inertia, and the better balance means you can stay off the gas a little more so you can enter the turn deeper. Do you even know how to drive on a track? im not typing this **** out for someone who doesnt know what they are talking about.

it all depends on the driver if u have a 6 and a good driver it will be good and if u have a 8 and a good driver the 8 will be better cuz its a faster car it all just depends on the driver and yes yes its all just physics

Look, twist it how you want, a six has better cornering potential over a GT. Lets assume you have 2 06 mustangs, a 6 and GT. They have identical suspension set-ups, and identical tires and weels. Put them on some tight twisties, like an autocross track. Run both cars with the same driver, the V6 will go faster in the corners. And it will go faster in the straights with less power than the GT.

Tell me why it wont? And I am talking strictly corners, not power out of the corners. Please, if you can explain why a car that weighs more and is more out of balance would handle better, I want to hear it.

x2, he couldnt be more right, i wouldnt argue with him on a cars cornering abilities haha.....and as said in a previous statement, ya insurance is insane for the extra 2 cylinders, right now i pay $400 a month on my 98, but thats alsoooo because of a pretty bad car accident on my record haha

This is very true is also the reason why I dont drive a GT. I was quoted $438 a month, yesterday if I should decide to get a 07 GT. Im 22 and sadly I cant afford to pay more than $200 bucks for insurance.

I just changed insurance yesterday too, My insuranc used to be $220 a month for boy my V6's now its $190. :)

If you want a drag car, go V8, if you want a track car, go V6. The better weight distribution of the 6 gives it more handling potential, and the 4.0L has the potential for 500 hp if you wanted.

Anything is capable of anything, depends on how you do it ya know.

You would be supprised what the old 2.3L turbos are doing these days.

 I miss my 84 turbo GT

those 2.3T's are nuts, my friend has one of those motors dropped into an 88 droptop, upgraded turbo, full exhaust, putting down 21 psi, its almost as fast as his 95 kenne bell saleen
