Split Port Past Due

Any split port hands out there. I have a '98 3.8 that I am finally getting around to putting on the split port intake I purchased a few years ago. I know I need to get heads. A few preliminary questions as I have forgotten my research: 1. Do I need bigger injectors? 2. Do I need a cam from a split port engine? 3. Will I need a tune if I don't change the cam? 4. Is my ECM compatible? 5. What is the best way to actuate the split port dampers? There are more questions obviously so is there a comprehensive write up on the job here or somewhere else on the internet? Any help much appreciated.

I have a couple of split port head. Think the split ports will need the 19 lb injectors instead of the ones on the old single port motors. Do not need another cam. Yes, you will need a new tune due to the larger injectors. You ECM can be reprogrammed for the larger injectors. IMHO, the lower intake manifold may or may not include the dampers. If they do, your best solution is to cut them out and aluminum weld up the holes. I also have a lower intake without the dampers.

So, best to send a private message. Packing and shipping charges to your location will be expensive. Heads and lower intake are heavy.

Thanks for your reply. I may be interested in the heads you have. I have an upper and lower intake so I am good there.
